The Evolution of Hook Up Terminology
I was thinking the other day about how the words and phrases we use to describe sex have changed over time. How the slang and verbage we used to use, is so outdated and has been replaced by newer ways of the saying the same things. For instance, you almost never hear phrases like...
- Get busy (ex.: "yea her and I are gonna get busy tonite")
- Play (ex:. "I got some play this past weekend")
- Get some (ex: "did you get some from that girl last night?")
It's kinda funny, but at one point in time those were common phrases (at least they were for me and my friends). Which brings me to my question. What hookup terminology do you remember that used to be commonplace but is never used anymore? What are some of the newer ways of saying these same things?

When I was your age...
When I was younger, I liked to have two friends on the phone at once in conference calls because 2 friends = twice the silliness. Unfortunately, we had a habit of calling these 'three-ways'. Whoops. Also, I used to think that 'shag' applied to rugs and carpet, and assumed 'shag vans' were those big 60's vans in which such carpet was installed. Double whoops.

maybe it's a young girl thing, but "going all the way" was popular back when I still played with barbies.
I know for awhile I used to think "making out" was the same thing as "making babies". Oh dear. I came from a very repressed background, so no one even corrected me till I was in grade 5 or 6. I was such a doofus.

Does anyone use the base rules ever? Like, "I got to second base" with her? I know it's for younger kids but we didn't even use them when I was in high school and I'm 27.
What were the rules again??

Home Run = All out sex??

How about when people used to say "Do it" to refer to sex. Like someone would ask "hey, did you guys do it last night?"
