Leftos

Questions

Leftos gives you the ability to ask a question, and receive answers from men and women of all ages. To ask a question, simply click the "Ask It" button at the top of the homepage. You will then be asked to give your question a title, add additional information, and choose a category (ex. "Dating") and a topic (ex. "First Date"). You can also post a question by clicking that same "Ask It" button within a topic to post it directly to that topic's page. To view a question and its answers, click the title of any question. All questions and answers can be rated by giving a "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down" and you can comment on all answers as well.

Opinions

Along with asking questions, Leftos also allows you to post your opinions on topics. Similar to questions, you can post an opinion from both the homepage and from a topics page, by clicking the "Post It" button at the top of each. To view an opinion and its comments, click the title of any opinion. Opinions and their comment's are also rated on a "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down" system.

Follow System

On Leftos, you can "Follow" other users to view their recent activity and interact with them further. To follow a user, go to their profile page by clicking on their username and click the "Follow Me" button in the upper right corner. Your homepage contains a feed that allows you to view updates from the users you are following. To view these updates, simply go to your homepage and select the "People I'm Following" tab on the feed located on the left side of the page. Following other users is a great way to show you are interested in their posts and remember, the more quality content you post to Leftos, the more users will want to follow you back.

Points

By completing various activities throughout the site, you can accumulate Leftos points. These points are displayed in your user profile as well as in the top right corner of the site next to your username. Earning points helps establish your reputation on Leftos and validates the quality of your posts. Leftos points can be gained (or lost) by the following actions:

• Posting a Question = +5 points


• Posting an Opinion = +5 points


• Posting an Answer = +3 points


• Following a User = +1


• User Follows You = +1


• Your post receives a Thumbs Up = +1


• Your post receives a Thumbs Down = -1

Sharing

Leftos has built in sharing features that let you send questions and opinions to others or upload them to your favorite social networks. To share a post on a social Network, simply click on the site you wish to share it on, or click on the "More options" link if that site is not listed. You can also share any Leftos post via e-mail by typing an e-mail address (separate multiple addresses with a comma) in the "Send it to" box of a post. By checking the "Send it Anonymously" box, the recipient will not be told who sent the post(You can have some fun with this one). You may also "Send it to" any Leftos user that you are currently following by switching from the "email" tab to the "Leftos" tab and selecting that user from the list.
