How to avoid the "cock-block"?
What is the best strategy for avoiding the cock-block? We all have that friend, regardless if you're a girl or a guy, that always screws things up for you with someone else. It's not always deliberate either, some of these people just have that magic touch of making a mess out of a good situation.
Anyhow, how do you overcome these people...and preferably ways to do so without being rude because a lot of times the cock-blocker is your good friend?

Prepare for them in advance...
If someone has been a continuous pest to you when working your "game" then you have to take that into account before you go out with them at night. If it's a really good friend, you can joke about it with them but get the point across. Let them know they need to focus more on themselves when it comes to hitting on the opposite sex and not so much on yours.
If something happens in the heat of the moment, I think it's ok to be semi-rude...not rude in a hurt-your-feelings kind of way but rude in the way that you don't have to sit down, be polite, and spell it out to them. Me and my girlfriends have one friend who always seems to come up and start talking to them whenever they have a hot guys attention. The girl is hot herself so it's not like she's sitting alone while all of the girls are doing well for themselves. Most of my friends just say, one second or we'll talk in a minute type of thing. She usually gets the drift at that point.

Different situations have different solutions..
It all depends on the situation, no one 'cock block' situation is alike, litterally. How do you avoid them? It's pretty hard to, because usually it involves a friend of both of you, or a good friend, someoen who is comfortable with either you or the person you are with.
So use this to your advantage, give sibtle hints to him or her that you are in the midst of 'something' and give a little wink, they should understand, but you gotta watch out if alcohol is involved they might say something stupid like "ooooo YeA I GET IT BUDDY!" and give you a slap on your back or something, who ever you are with will most definately notice what that person means, they might like it they might not.
Try to avoid croweds, if you are alone, be alone, go off to a table or something off from everyone else, this is a sign that you two want to be alone, and people will leave you alone, they might come and say "hey whats up" but they will leave, because they will feel like a third wheel.
If you are in a car, stay in the car, if you are both into one another and just wanna makeout, go someplace private hop in the back seat and have fun, this will avoid ALL cock blocking, lock the door and park the car somewhere romantic or something, this is obvious why, people think you two are out just hanging out, or out to dinner or something.
I can go on and on but these are just a few tips. I hope otherp people can add some input (plus I am really hungry and want to go eat)
